Different ways you can give

Bequests

Making a charitable bequest to The Arc Central Chesapeake Region means including us in your will. Your long-term gift keeps The Arc’s important work in our community going for decades and generations to come.

It’s as simple as sharing this paragraph with your attorney, who can modify it as
needed to craft your gift as you want it to be:

“I hereby give, devise and bequeath to The Arc Central Chesapeake Region, Inc., or its successors in interest, with offices at 999 Corporate Blvd., Suite 300, Linthicum, MD 21090, federal tax ID 52-6047882, the sum of $(amount written out), exclusive of my lifetime donations, if any, to be used for The Arc Central Chesapeake Region, Inc.’s most urgent priorities as determined by its board of trustees in their sole discretion.” 

 

Special Needs Trust

You can name The Arc Central Chesapeake Region as a remainder beneficiary of the trust that manages your child’s care. There is no impact at all on the direction or funding of your child’s care. After their passing, all or a portion of what remains in the trust can be a gift to The Arc. The gift in your trust means we’ll be helping and supporting other families’ children for decades and generations to come.

To add us to your trust, you will need the following information:

IRA

If you’re 70 ½ or older, you can make a gift to The Arc Central Chesapeake Region from your IRA. This is a tax savvy way to support The Arc’s work in the community. Your gift will count toward your required minimum distribution (RMD), and will be exempt from federal income tax. Check with your tax advisor about how a gift of this type affects your individual circumstances.
