The Hiring Process
Step #1 - The Screening Interview
The first step in the hiring process is the screening interview. You will spend about an hour meeting with the recruiter discussing your qualifications and filling out our application.
Step #2 - The Second Interview/Home Visit
If it is determined by the recruiter that you have all the qualifications we are seeking, your name and phone number will be given to a supervisor that would best match the people we support and the hours you are available. The supervisor will call you to set up a home visit to interview with the person(s) you will be supporting and their staff.
Step #3 - References & Background Check
While you are interviewing at the home visit, your references will be checked, your past employment will be verified, and we will conduct a criminal background check and a driver's record check.
Step #4 - You're Hired!
Okay - you have completed your home visits; your references and your background checks are complete. Now you can move on to the next step - The Job Offer. You will be contacted by Human Resources to discuss salary and a start date. You will also schedule a time to meet and fill out any personnel paperwork needed and sign up for staff training. As the final step in the hiring process you will be sent for a physical and a drug screening. That is done at the agency's expense. Once that is complete and we receive good results, you can begin work.
